Sealed motor, bearings are dry and brushes worn. Safest bet is to replace the motor with a new one.

Went through hvac woes a couple months ago.Replaced almost all electrical switches/motors to solve high resistance issue that would trip breaker and shut fan and compressor off.Still kept tripping breaker after a few minutes on high.Replaced old breaker at fuse box with 35amp
appears to have cured high resistance issue.

I still need the temperature sensor for the A / C clutch. Does anyone have one left?

A/C clutch wire is 1 black wire and goes to engine wiring harness with a plug.
There also should be a throttle solenoid on your carb like mentioned to boost up the idle up so engine doesn't stall when A/C compressor turns on.
    I have a 72 Ranchero 500 parts car with 351-2V Cleveland and A/C.
I can unplug engine harness at firewall multi plug plus sell you the throttle solenoid off the carb and also have that thermostat switch that goes on the blower motor case.
I got photos but they may be too big to load here

Just an FYI, I was able to view the photo. It opened up in a new browser tab. The file was large, but apparently not too large for the server.

I have photos and the actual Temperature Switch ,A/C idle solenoid of carburator, have engine wiring harness with the plugs for the solenoid and the A/C compressor so just plug and play factory wiring off 72 Ranchero 500 parts car with H code 351-2V Cleveland.
Sent you a private message with a link to my Profile on Facebook contact me there and can easily show you photos on Messenger as I can't load photos here and I don't have a photo hosting site anymore Facebook is free and so much easier as I can upload photos right from my phone.

Plus have a Group for sharing your Ranchero photos, technical questions, also can post stuff for sale or wanted posted of items needed here too.
It's an all around General group for Torino,Gran Torino Ranchero and related vehicles

That attachment is not my photos it's a Quote and photo from 72GTVA.
When you reply to someone comment with a Photo it makes their photo an attachment.
That looks like a new one he shared photo.
My photos can't load here as files are too big.
I sent him message to contact me on Facebook as it much easier as don't need a photo hosting site to upload all my photos just to be able to post an image URL so you can see it here.
2 clicks and I can upload photos on Facebook or Messenger directly from my phone.
Pain in the butt that Photobucket stopped hosting Free accounts as that is what I use to use for forums

Learn something new every day. I saw the "View attachment 15533" on your post at 10:54 today, and since it wasn't inside a quote box, I thought it was your pic. I figured that you figured out the issues on posting photos here.

I just wish I could tell my boss, "I learned something new today, so I'm going home now!"

Nope the only thing I figured out is if people want to see photos they have to go to Facebook as it's too much of pain in the ass for me to post photos here and I have no idea how to resize them to upload here

There are easy ways to use newer Windows versions to resize, or if you use your phone's camera for photos, as I do, there are plenty of photo manipulation apps that are free, and allow resizing. I just downloaded Photoshop Express last night, and it was not all that hard to figure out how to do it. And believe me when I say that doing anything computer nowadays is a bit difficult for me. If I can do it, so can you.
