just got it home and fired up has'nt run since 02 i think.its a 351 cj Q code 4 speed.
Nice looking fishmouth. Got lots of potential. Have fun.
Looks like its got some good potential to be a very nice ride, glad to hear it fired up. Thats the first battle. Keep us updated on any progress!
Cool, A Ranchero VistaCruiser..
yeah it will be losing the topper
Looks like a car with a lot of promise! Do you know if it has it's original distributor?
You will have to learn to ignore the 72 envy around here and the 'fishmouth' references.
I don't know what jealous person came up with that, but every fish I ever hooked had a mouth as wide as it's head. Kind of like the 70-71 models.
Good to see another 72 saved from the Torino vultures!
Like a Smallmouth Bass..?
Any Questions?..Sounds like Grill Envy.
don't have the distributor but he said he would get it to me.said it was a dual points one if thats right.did get the chrome air cleaner top.
you'll never guess what he was thinking about doing to the car.
How Dare He Even Mutter Those Words!!!!!!
Good find. Hope the inter. isn't butchered up. (radio opening cut for aftermarket radio, door panels cut for big speakers, roof & headliner drilled for cb/2way radio etc.) Looks like it's pretty complete. Tell us more.
A total of 782 1972 Ranchero GTs were built with that configuration - good find! That one is a good candidate to fix and keep.
Very nice looking ride. I would loose the topper. Had one on my 74 for over 20 years made it look too much like a camper special! Keep us posted with progress
thank god you saved it from the scrap yard....
nice ranch for sure....
great looking 72. congrats!
dan cant see that well in your pic but is that a 72 montego gt hood and front clip?
had a fastback montego gt way back in the day with ramair hood.have'nt seen many of them.
well that means that for sure then that there's only 781 left as far as i know.
i had another 72 ranchero Qcode 4 speed one but it was non air or power brakes car 25 years ago that was scraped after it was wrecked
but this one won't find its way there.may sell it but to someone that want's one.got 4 other project's right now just could'nt let it get away.
You'll learn that Dan has the most amazing ranchero put together in the entire universe.
Got a guy over here who may be interested if your willing to ship, has fell in love with my 72 but mine's staying put .....those wheels answered a few questions? have a set from a 78 Tbird that bit the dust last year.
