My name is Steve, I'm in New Mexico. I joined this group about 5 years ago but have been stagnant most of that time. I finally got serious just about a month ago now fixing up my 1960 ranchero. Taking body parts off and every thing going down to bare metal.
I wish I had more time to work on it cause it's a blast. Anyway just saying hey............Steve

Cool! When we come down that way we drive down %50 of the time. I know we come down 40 and pass through a bunch of small towns (always like seeing all the cools projects sitting out). So you never know maybe a quick visit or lunch when passing through. Take care, Dan

I'm a big fan of the 50's & 60's car brochure illustrations where they make the car look HUGE (even Falcons) and the humans small. Photoshop before it was a thing:

I was born in Albuquerque but raised in south Florida. Wound up out here in 2011 by engine trouble and never left.

Cool brochures ! And all those color brochures have one thing in common - Round sealed beam headlights :D Something that unfortunately the current and probably the future car designs will never use again. Beerbelly, the more pictures I see of the 1960 - 1963 rancheros, the more it makes me think it would be a great project car with a SVO turbo 4 (300HP+) + 5 speed or even one of those new Eco Boost 4's.
Should get good gas mileage haha

That would be a fun ride with that in it but I'm intending to keep stock rear end and such and I don't believe it would handle that kind of power.
