Likewise, I wouldn't give squat for one of those especially with those miles and from salt country. Unreal though, my collector buddies are giving nearly $30K for rust free Things. I don't see it. I would rather gamble that kind of coin on a hurricane surge damaged Lambo from Sam Crack .

Worthless is what I say maybe .96 cents at the most, but that's me!

Got a couple of those original Things in the museum, main difference is how the nose is built. They run and drive but still not anything I would desire. DSCN3276.JPG

Decent ones around here are hard to find and expensive. They gotta be a cult thing.

VW Kubelwagen from WWII. Germany's version of the Jeep.
My first cars were VW's because they were cheap & easy to work on; bought a '57 oval window ragtop for $275 in 1971 in the service, and had several after that. When it was finally time to consider a new car, I looked at the Things, and test drove one. It was a tin can, but I could see it for the right use (beaches, dunes, off road stuff), but not as an everyday driver. Probably be fun behind an RV in the summer for runs into town.
