Found this at Pick n Nose, thought it was Australian, but no:
It's got Mexican plates. Might even been made there. Fiat has a factory there.
I thought that would've been possible, but imagine if FCA got off their corporate anxiety, and offered these here in the States.
FIAT thought their little 500 would sell here, Mercedes also thought the Smart would sell here, but we showed them even as high as fuel is Americans still prefer large sized pickups.
I dunno, Nissan started selling the Datsun pickup back in the Sixties, and would all sell out of them because people wanted them just for a second vehicle. Funnily enough, the powers that be back then refused to increase production for several years, simply because they believed that the trucks were only for companies doing work with them. If it can do work, like our Rancheros could, they have a good chance of at least some sales.
Ford has been making the Pony down there a long time but the compact truck for us is the Ranger which just got bigger.
