Out of curiosity, why Ed heads? You gonna have them reworked?

    HI Sarah...

I was wondering that myself, CHI heads are about the same price and are far superior to the Edl ones, even the intake that they offer for the 400 blocks with 3V heads is pretty sweet.

Who even sells the chi heads on the web. I was also considering the edelbrock rpm heads, but I got talked out of them by you guys. Well, they do have to be a bit better than the stock ones. Anyways, very nice, very fun and cool to see your motor going togeather. It is even better when you first start it. Good luck.

I purchased the heads "bare," and he will rework them. I'm waiting for the valves and eveything else to come in.

I currently have a set of Flowmaster 2 chambers, with the "turn downs" at the rear axel.
It sounds great, but I think with the new set-up, I'm going to go with a set of Magnaflow mufflers.
I had a set of Maggies on my '98/'01/'03 SVT Cobras, and I like the sound a lot better than the Flowmasters.
Also, my '07 Saleen S281SC has a Magnaflow set-up, and it sounds awesome!

As soon as the block is painted, and I get my intake and valve covers back from the powder coater, I'll post more pics.

Tough crowd - getting in your Wheaties over YOUR choice of heads. Sheesh! You'd think it was their money being spent...

For the money, you can't beat Edelbrock heads.

I just spoke with my mechanic and he said that the block is ready to go, and we will install the complete rotating assembly on Mon., and the heads will be assembled also.
The transmission came back today, and he will pick up the Weiand intake, along with the valve covers on Tues.

One of the guys in the shop has a Vortech supercharger (8-10 lbs. of boost) that is currently on an LS-1 engine.
I'm thinking about purchasing it, and supercharging my engine.
It's just a thought. I've allocated a certain amount of money for this project, and if I buy the supercharger, it will put me $2,000.00 over budget.

Good, they need it, not to knock what ya bought they are cool for the money but stock 4V OC clevo heads out perform and out flow the Ed heads, it depends on your application, I guess your going for the cool factor.
I have come to a stopping point with my 400 build, the heads, very much undecided. I was going to use stock 2V but with C/R I have they won't work, need closed chamber heads to make everything work, keep us posted...
