If you don't have your location in your ad they will be deleted. People want to know how close they are to the parts they may need or how to estimate shipping etc.

I would say a secondary way of getting hold of the poster as well. Rather than them posting and never getting back on to check.

So I guess the location that's listed below your avatar pic is not good enough?

A lot of people just have the state, or the biggest city close to them listed. Some don't have anything listed at all. I believe this is more just a precautionary measure.

i agree that most dont want others to know exactly unless they're purchasing something

If the Location is in your Avatar its fine.

State or Biggest City by you is fine.

We are not asking for your address and phone number just a basic location.

For example you list a bench seat for sale with no location. The seat is in California and you need it but you live in New York. The shipping would absolutely kill you on an item like that having to ship it across the country.

This is why we MUST add a geographical location to an ad. Saves you the poster of the item a lot of questions and time by responding to people who will not buy your item or shipping puts it out of reach for them price wise.
