I have been gone from this site for too long, life got in the way and my 77 chero has been sitting for 6 years wanting to get back on the road. I crank it up and move it around and almost cry because I can't go out on the road with it YET. I finished the wife's 73 Stang and got it back on the road for her and now it's time to get to work on my 77 and put the time into it starting with the rust issues in the cab as I am thinking about fiber glassing the floor pans because no one makes them and to weld in "patch" panels will require a lot of fabricating small sections and then welding them into place. I'll keep picking away at it until I get all of the rust and water leaks dealt with in the cab and move to the electrical repairs (fuse box) rebuild and start reinstalling the interior.
Don't feel so all alone, mine was off the road and in long term perpetual restoration from 1992 to 2012. Do it right and do it once!
