Very nice looking ride. I had a 74 Gran Torino 4 dr that color when I was 16. Drove that car for 8 years and taught my wife to drive on it. I have owned a 74 ranchero for 39 years now and have had a lot of fun with it (and still do). I know you will enjoy yours. Need any help just ask!

You'd think with all the time I have stuck at home I'd get more done.
I did get the new white walls mounted on the factory wheels.
Hoping I'll get them on today or tomorrow.
I did get the spare and jack into the car.

Nice setup! That's how it goes together! But, do you have trouble taking the tire out if you have a flat? Because I have 215/70/15 tires and wheels, I had to go with a Town Car pizza cutter spare, in order to get the tire and wheel out without trouble.

Wow, yeah it is! Please tell me that's a Coker or other new-press tire. I've rode on old '70s tires, and a blowout on rotted tires is no fun. Especially in a rig as big as our Cheros.

Frankly it's just there for show.
    Can't imagine ever using it.

Nice, I know now what is missing in my 78 and how it fit. ;-). (Jack spare wheel and wrench for wheel nuts)

    Thanks guys!
When I get sick of them I can swap back to the Ansen Slots & BFGs.

Just posted up your ranchero (front shot) on my computer as my wall paper background. The gran Torino I had mentioned in the first post was the same color of your car for about 3 years. I did end up repainting the car a dark metallic brown after I had a fender bender.

    Cool! I like the color.
Have not seen very many this color.
According to the Marti Report for my car only 393 were made in Light Green #47.

When I was a kid and had my Torino my friends would call the color Stomach ache green. But with a blacked out grill accenting the the chrome bars in the grill and trim that color looked real good.

Looks great. Id love to get a set of steels, dog dish caps and beauty rings like that. Then have the wheels banded to widen them for a deep dish look. I think that would look cool.

I'm not sure, but you used to be able to buy 'reverse' rims, to give a wider appearance. You should see if they can still be bought.
