I need a replacement A/C clutch coil for my 79 Ranchero. I've tried Old Air products and several on line vendors with no success. This is for the Motorcraft/Tecumseh original compressor. Any help would be appreciated.

Same clutch for Tecumseh and York compressors, 74-79 Torino & Ranchero, 77-79 TBird & Cougar.

    Check your local yards.

Alternative is to have the clutch rebuilt. Check with some AC shops.

I tried Rock Auto,, they show a Four Seasons part number that I bought off of Amazon, it does not fit and is not correct.

It's exactly like an electric motor, it gets rewound, resealed.

Howdy 1978GT, this looks like the right one. I didn't think to search Mercury Colugar. I'm gonna order it as it looks perfect and it is an NOS.
    Thanks a million.

Oh, always remember that '77-'79 LTD II, T-Bird, Cougar and Ranchero are all pretty much the same under the sheet metal. LTD II wagon and Ranchero share the same frame.
