    Hello everyone!

I joined a while ago but havent had much time to spend on the computer. I wanted to share a few pictures of the car now that it is 99% finished. It was pretty sad when i first looked at it, left to rust away in a parking lot:

Thats me in the car trying to get it started. It started and ran, but the carb leaked like crazy and it backfired and exploded the muffler. I puttered around with it for a few months, taking on each problem one at a time. I put the trim back on to make sure it was all there. Luckily it was all there.

After getting it roadworthy with new tires, a full tune up, cleaning out the fuel tank and of course rebuilding that carb, i gathered up my parts and a little money finally got it painted.

I think it turned out pretty good!! Still have to tackle a couple small things, especially finding the correct tailights (those are from a '67) but i am enjoying it the way it is now.

    Thanks for looking!

Now, that is sweet. If I couldn't have a '71, then my next choice would be a '66.

I was hoping to get some paint on this week, but weather just ain`t cooperating...I did want her to shine at our roundup this year....
I did get shocks installed today though, I`ve only had them shocks fer three years now... Hyrb give `em to me...
Got my Hurst floor shifter mounted today too, not hooked up yet but mounted...
Mercman, your truck gives me incentive to get busy...

Looks GREAT!!! The 2-tone interior is fantastic. Really sets it off.
I admire yours and everyone else's mechanical skills. I'm just getting started, but with some answers I've gotten here, it has helped.
    Again, great job!!:D Barry.
