Well... no awards... but competition was a little tough... The 1955 Nomad (P1090565) parked across the isle took 1st place... word on the floor was that the Nomad was a $400,000 build. What was funny was that I was walking around with a friend, and we were going around the Nomad, and my friend actually pointed out a ding in a chrome piece. Sticking out like a sore thumb. Rat Fink (P1090588) took Second... So as you looked down the long isle... you were looking at the grill of my Ranchero... the Nomad across the isle to the left... Ratfink across the isle to the right... UHG! Then there were the other trophy winners.

Next month at the Central Point Show, I will only be competing within my class. Instead of against all the high dollar cars. But I got an idea about the attention that this car will get. Should be good!

A lot depends on the judges.
If they are partial to trailer queens it boils down to a competition between those who spent the most money.

YEP! In the case of this show, Benefit Show, the Judges were the paying public coming to see!

So it was for a good cause.

Nice looking display. 1 st show ya did well! Public judging always tough, never know what appeals or why. It's hard to compete with "bought" cars versus the guy that put his sweat equity in it. Your better prepped now for your next show.

Once you get one, you will find that one is enough.

Noice! Are those painted or ceramic-coated? And are you going to have the rest of the air cleaner assembly done to match them?

He said he was going to paint them, but I think they are coated. So yeah, will have to have at least have the base done.

I'd love to check out the coating. Anyway, it'll be badass when you get it finished.

Hey, all I asked was, are you painting the rest to match, I didn't ask if they matched! Look at the bright side...when they match, it'll be gorgeous!
