Thanks beerbelly… that sounds like a great idea... for next year. My car show season is almost over, as I have other commitments that are starting to take over. i.e. football season. So I think I can squeeze in one or two more, then its put it away and start getting more of the cosmetic details repaired/replaced. Between now and next May want to get the original seatbelts back in it, and the dash chrome redone. As well as go back and work on switches and such that need some fine tuning.

It's too bad you're too far to bring Brittany up to Mount Vernon on Saturday. Mattel is having their Hot Wheels Legends tour at the Walley World that morning. I'm planning on going up to check it out, but it's the best way to get the designers to see Brittany, have a chance for them to make it into an actual Hot Wheels car.

Yeah best I'm aware 429 wasn't offered in these until 70.
But then ranchero emblem supposed to be on front fender for 69 vs 68, mine came on rear quarter the Hot Rod story on container also shows on rear quarter , it's a 69. All the mfg. did stuff back then that wasn't supposed to be. Had to use parts somehow .
Will let ya know when I need pics of stuff and appreciate the offer.
I should probably stop by paint shop and see how they are doing. Been busy in garage on my '85 SVO get her running and sell keep the space open.

That's not why I am confused... two weeks ago, guy puts his modified in the stock class and of course wins (Peoples Choice voting)... this week, in a judged show, my 1969 wins the 70's class, even though clearly marked as not a 70's... When I pointed out the error, the response was "I guess the judge really liked your car"! I GUESS!

Kal… yes I have the deluxe report that gets displayed with the car.

OH Definitely meet some great people, with some great cars...

Will put pictures of the show in the lounge soon... Some really amazing cars. There was a '64 Ranchero that took "Best Pick-up", and a '67 Cougar XR7 in "Toxedo Black" that was absolutely amazing and got left out of the awards, and the owners were just really good people. The car that took Best in Show, had the Blues Brothers in tears. And another great owner!

I also may have inspired a guy to get to work on his '68 Torino Fastback! He was just in awe... and spent a good 30 minutes talking and walking around the car picking up details that he would want on his, even though his wouldn't be stock! This show was more of what I had anticipated car shows were supposed to be. Had a great time!

Sutherlin's Blackberry Festival, what a great show, some great competition... Lost out to a really nice 69 Camaro, that a friend of mine detailed! Second Place in a crowded 1960's Stock Class.

I guess its not bad for the first summer out:

    A participation Trophy, a 3rd Place, 1st in the wrong class, and a 2nd!

One more show maybe this weekend! Providing the weather cooperates.
