Hi forum people -- I'm new to this forum; I joined to get info about selling my '65 Ranchero. Although I've owned this vehicle for many years, I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to buying and selling them. Can you tell me what details I will need to find out for potential buyers? These are the details I know about my rig: 1965; built in Lorain, OH; V8 289-4v; 3-sp Cruise-o-Matic; color is "Garnet Poly" (not original); 99,500 mi on odometer (don't know if it ever turned over - I bought it in 1988 when the odometer said 85,000). Bench seat, black (reupholstered and in good condition). Body and exterior in good condition. Plate on door does not match the vehicle, so I assume it was swapped. What other important details are missing?
Ranchero's aren't typically a random search. Folks who want them know what they are, so just list it and wait for the thousands of replies. OK, maybe 1 or 2.
Well you asked for the Idiots and you got them..... Rancheros are not particularly collectible that being said. The info you have listed here should be enough to sell it. Take plenty of pictures and it you have access to a lift take some of the under side with close up of any areas of rust. Include any info that you have on it from the 30 years you have owned it and why you drove it less than a 1000 miles a year.
He's being both. Definitely start decently higher than you are willing to sell for, because you will get much lower offers compared to asking. Nature of the beast.
Boy, 5.0 Chero, I guess! I didn't realize there were so many juvenile Ranchero owners on this forum! Anyway, thanks for your input. I appreciate it.
We like to have fun, but serious happens when needed. Carl (5.0 Chero) is just a little drunk on his mod powers.
