thruout the 13 years, i have lost the following parts on my resto mod: illuminated door lock cylinder, entire w/handle hood release cable, door handle latch rod( will take handle with it), washer fluild tank, getting closer ! finish sometime next summer, also if you could recommend me to sellers or salvage yards in Iowa that may have. thanks for all the help from this group, been a member since 2010 and have had great sellers of parts and Advice !
Unless someone moved your house, even if you moved, I bet you have those parts. They're just not where you thought you put them. Anyway, I hope you can find your needed parts. Andy down in FL, he parted a couple late '70s Cheros, and he might still have a few things lying about. I had bought parts from him for Babe several years ago.

These parts also fit 77-79 Cougar and Thunderbirds and some earlier Torinos , Cougar and Montegos. Some Lincolns use a similar key cylinder but the wiring is different length. Do not put 12 volts on the illuminated key cylinders to test if they work, it will blow out the LED. Plug them into the module.
i wish ! i have organized and gone thru everything, i have no idea where they are because i dont even throw out old parts that have been replaced, which is almost every piece of this car, thanks
It'll just be a storage search of every box. Listen, I thought I had lost a box with some of my diagnostic gear, including my Fluke 77 I got for Christmas a few decades ago, and on a search for something else, I ran into that box, because it was hidden in storage by other boxes. So do a thorough, systematic search of all boxes you have, anywhere you have them. If you throw nothing away, then you still have them, somewhere.
