HI, thank you for letting me be a member. I have wanted a Ranchero for years and just got one. Its a 1966 that needs a lot of work. I'm sure I will have a lot of questions. (hope you guys don't mind). Dan Morgan Hill CA.
Dan: Welcome-- this is a great place to find help and friends. I have a 66 that I restored, if you have any questions, let me know. I strongly suggest you get the Ford Shop manual and the Assembly manuals for the interior, exterior, chassis,, and electrical. They are invaluable. Craig
Craig, thank you. I ordered a shop manual but didn't know about the others. will do. Since you have a 66, Im looking to get some tires and wheels. Any suggestions on sizes.
Welcome, I am just north of you. Check for tire and wheel packages at Wheelsforless.com Sometimes they have great deals and ship the tires and wheels to you mounted and balanced.
Welcome to the site zen, lots of knowledge at this forum,I was clueless when I bought my 67,but all the help from the folks here really helped me through all my issues
Thanks everyone. I see some live near me in Morgan Hill CA. Can anyone recommend an upholstery shop for my seat that does good work and a quick turn a round?
Welcome Zen... don't forget the pic's. Also, you doing a custom or factory build... will help guide the opinions.
I hope to fix it up little by little. I have the engine running now but I need to get a fan shroud. I want to get the interior redone carpet kids on the way headliners here and reupholster is ready for me when everything gets here. Then do brakes and front and safety first right? After that it just depends on how much I like the vehicle as to what I’ll do next. Rims, Convert to automatic etc.
Hi Sparks, Im going to buy tires and wheels today. Front 215-65-15 Rear 235-60-15 what do you think? Will they look good and will they fit and not rub? Thanks for any help zen
All depends on your wheels and off sets. I'm running an old set of 14" Torque Thrusts (14x7)-- In the front I've got 235/60R14 and the rears are 225/70R14. Those tires should fit, just watch the offsets.
