    Hi Everybody,
My name is Hari, I just bought a 72 Ranchero GT. I'm sure this is the best place to get informations and help for all the small things I want to fix and replace :)
Here in switzerland and rest of europe it's quite hard to get parts and even harder to find shops that are familiar with this beauty.
My english is not the best, so please be lenient with me ;-)
    I try to upload a pic...hope it'll work.
    Cheers

Oh, very cool, it's a "fresh lake Fishmouth!" As a Swiss citizen, what is your native language? If I remember correctly, French, German and Italian are the spoken languages in Switzerland.

    Hi Andy
Very impressive, not everybody knows that
I speak german...well, we call it swiss-german, it's a dialect which the germans don't understand normaly but we understand them
Thanks everybody for the nice compliments.

I had heard the three Swiss dialects were that way.

I went to HS with two Swiss sisters the older (Elsie I think) one was the classic Swedish bikini team flavor, long legs curves in all the right places and a smile that would light up the room. The younger (Ariana, in my class) was more the "Helga" type with shoulders like "Sven" and thighs that could lift a Volkswagen. I actually got to know Ariana fairly well, she told me that she was taking French (she could already speak it) because she knew she would fail German because in "High German", what they taught in school, she would mispronounce everything but understood it perfectly. I on the other hand could speak French (parrot it) but had no idea what the hell I was saying. She got me through French II by letting me parrot her and I got her past English III by knowing the difference between to, too & two. When she and her sister had something to say to each other they would say it in Swiss-German and not even the German teacher could figure out what they were talking about. I thought that was pretty humorous back in the day.

    Cheers,

    Doc

Funny how a small little country like switzerland is known over there :-D
there is a fourth official language here called ratoromanian....it's spoken in just one "state" and by just a small percentage of people. Funny to listen :p kind of mix between italian and swiss-german.
I guess on that website are people from all parts of the US and the world....thats cool....I visited the usa two times and I'm sure there are a lot of good places you guys can tell me which i should see next time :D

Since your country's mountain ranges parallel ours out West in looks and altitude, you should visit Washington, Oregon and California for the Olympic (youngest range, geologically), Cascade and Sierra Nevada mountain ranges, as well as Colorado and Wyoming for the Rockies and Grand Tetons. Anything East is simply a hill....

Do you know the history of your car? How it got over there in the first place?

    Hi John777
Actually the guy who bought it from the us is a classic car mechanic and has his garage 15 minutes away from my place :D
I'm the 3rd owner since the import.

Cool, was wondering if it was a US military owner prior, who brought it over on a paid move.
