Hello folks, I am new around here and decided to sign up once I got my 79 pulled out of the tree line with the intention of making it usable once again. I had been parked for probably around 20 years.

I imagine that topper probably helped preserve the bed, eh?

Actually ya, some. Even back when I was driving it as a high-schooler my sub boxes in the spare storage location used to get wet.

Welcome aboard! before you get your new project started Check the frame as a whole but pay close attention in front of the rear tires where the trailing arm goes into it. These like to rust through in that spot. Since it has been sitting best to check "before" you start spending money on it. (I learned this the hard way) Otherwise good luck and remember we are all here to help. Take care Dan
