Hi Everybody.I'm Tony from Darfield, South Yorkshire. UK.
I've bought a 1970 Ranchero 500 from Idaho. As I am writing this it is in transit to the West Coast of the USA prior to being shipped across the pond to Felixstowe, UK. I cannot wait to get the car here to start driving her and taking her to the classic car shows. (I think she will be pretty unique!!!) Pics of her can still be found on the site I bought her off. www.hotautoweb.com
I love the site and the forum you guys have got going. I will post pics when she has her new UK identity. I will be making full use of the forum for questions that need definitive answers from all you Ranchero experts over there.
Thanks go out to all the people who have already answered some of my questions.
    Cheers. Tony.

  That is a really beee-you-tee-full Ranchero! You'll be the talk of the town in that one. :D Say, I have a request. I sold some parts to fellow in Herefordshire for his Peterbuilt and he sent me a photo of his truck at a show, parked in front of an old castle. Made a fantastic picture, the old and the new contrast. When you get her home how about doing the same for us. That beauty in front of an old castle would make an awesome pic! [IMG]

Hi Steve. Don't know about a Castle, but I might be able to manage a Stately Home, I promise I will post some suitable pics when she arrives.
    Cheers. Tony.

It is a 70 chero 351 C he quoted and said it is bone stock except for the stereo he put into it. Anyway i just love ranchero's i don't know how there aren't more around. I hope to gain a little bit of knowledge about my car from some of the folks here and also how to get some of those hard to find parts.

Hi, my name is Steve. I bought my 70 Ranchero about a year ago.paid $600.00 for it. The guy I bought it from told me he just got it for the drive train and was going to junk the rest. Was going to build a mustang project. Though he didnt know anything about Fords. Anyway he decided to move out of state. His loss as the Ranchero only needed a new starter and ignition switch to run. Built my own grill center after seeing outrageuos prices for cobra style grills. Changed interior to black, fixed rusted out areas in the usual spots. Now working on body.Lots of fun.

  7. I have been a member here but haven't introduced myself so know I will. My name is Kevin and I am 40, married, and have two daughters. I own a 1968 Torino GT 2-dr formalroof, Hardtop and a 1968 Torino GT 2-dr fastback and a 1969 Ranchero GT. The Hardtop has been in my garage under going a slow (children)restoration. The Fastback is at my brother-in-law's in shell state. I am using a 1968 donor Ranchero to restore the 1969 GT and am driving it daily while it waits it turn. I am purchasing another 1969 Ranchero GT at the end of this month. I am glad to be one of the members of this group and hope to meet as many of you as a lifetime will allow.

  9. Hi,
My name is Mark and I live in Sacramento CA. I am new as of Febuary and own a mix and match 1974 with a frontend of a 72 Ranchero. I am currently doing a 'restomod' to make her a nice weekend driver for myself. My father was a Ford and Lincoln man and as a boy I helped him with many restoration projects. I had several Lincolns and one T-Bird in my teens and twenties but have not had an old Ford in several years so this car is proving to be very fun. I do not care about originality this time (sorry Dad) he was a stickler for a concours points car. I am just making this one FUN for me. This site, and all the people on it have really increased my enjoyment of these great classics.

Hi, my name is Chris. I cohabitate in Dallas with a '68 Ranchero. She was purchased new in Tulsa, OK from Fred Jones Ford by a Kansas florist shop and I bought her '74 when she was traded in at Fred Jones Ford and was making the wholesale lot circuit. $800 bucks went further in '74 than '05.
I ran across this web site while looking for Ranchero parts. Are you doing a Roster of all the VINs and Body Codes? If so, where on the Web site are they to be logged in?
    Body 66A, Color M, Trim 2A, Date 31E, DSO 65, Axle 5, Trans 1.

Hello, I go by Night Train (military thing) and am about to start a mild resto on the 78 that i got when my dad passed away. Just some simple stuff like, upgraded exhaust, fix leaks and 70's style wheels and nice tires. Maybe new paint if the deals right!

    hello all,
my name is dan and i just purchased a 69 ranchero
it is sort of a mystery to me because it is no longer stock. someone prior has changed some things. enguine and interior hoping tomorrow i will solve the mystery. if i do have a 302 i will probably try to find a 351 windsor because that is the original motor for my vin #. will be tinkering with this one for a while. but will probably enjoy it . your forum is awesome.
    thank you
    dan

    Another newbie reporting in [IMG]

Just purchased a '69 Ranchero GT off of EBay. Has a 351W in it (original motor was a 302, according to the VIN). I don't think the color is original (haven't seen the door tag yet), but I don't seem to mind it too much. I'm getting the shipping set up today on it, so it should be in my driveway real soon.

Here's a couple of the pics of the car from the EBay auction:
