Finally got bed cover done.Used dupli-color bed liner spay paint.Turned out ok and hides lot of imperfections.The piece that fits behind window no longer fits correctly,apparently shrunk from sitting in sun for 2 years!Crappy design,water collects and stays on bottom of rear window=rust city.Thinking custom tool box to fill space.Thanks everyone for guidence and comments during this process.Time to enjoy my labor and drive as designed(truckish) till block splits in half...John
the black looks great. goes good with the car. but if your whole ranchero was purple thats a whole nuther story.

Thanks Ray.That was DIY bed cover according to PO,plywood with padded fabric on top.Maybe flip angle and have custom tonnue made with snaps on angle inside bed.Any progress on 71?
