    That's correct. and you can get Conversion Cylinders to shoot smokeless cartridge ammo. Mine is .44 cal BP and will shoot 45 Long Colt cartridges.

    Hears mine.
    Bought it 4 years ago and converted it to the krist 45 ACP cal.
    Very accurate up to 50 yards.
    I am very pleased with this weapon.

    Nice looking piece. 45ACP is an interesting round for a revolver. I s'pose you have to use moon clips with that one then?

    I guess you could but I just load them one at a time until the chamber is full.

    With the Krist you don't have to use moon clips..

    Ahhh, so then the cylinder is stepped so that the mouth of the case sets the headspace? Got it...wasn't thinking that way earlier when I asked about the moon clips. Probably sounds like I'm asking silly questions but it's because revolvers typically use the rim of the case and semis use the mouth of the case to set the headspace.
