Hi, I picked up this 70 rancho 500. All original from original owner and it needs love. Checked so far and it needs a head gasket. So guessing on 20 years of sittin, gas tank, brakes, tranny,carb and other basics. Any other pitfalls I may be missing before I get started ? jim
it's got the 302 ,two barrel and i'm pretty sure the stock c4 trans and the 9 rear, had the tow package on it
Poke around for rust/holes. Floor pans, around the rear wheel on the quarters, cowl. Check the small diameter vacuum lines and the fittings for cracks. The stock wiring is kind of light duty, check grounds and fuses first if something does not work. Looks like it has potential. Good luck.
