@thebruins The one in the diagram looks to be taller where it goes up to meet the vinyl duct.
    Maybe there is a difference between 1975 & 1977-79?
    IDK
    Thanks for the input!

Turns out what you have pictured is correct.
Is that yours and is it for sale?
    Thanks

Any chance I could get you to measure all the dimensions of the factory rectangular duct that goes from the plastic piece to the air cleaner?
Length & Hole Opening would be helpful.
    Thanks

Parts manual shows 3 entries for 1973 and up:
all are 2 5/16" x 3 11/16" which sounds about right for the hole opening.
the difference between the three entries is the length: 11", 18 1/4" and 25 3/4"

Anyway, no problem, I will measure it tonight and let you know!

The hole opening is about 3.7" x 2.4" which is close to what I posted before. Length in my car seems to be about 13" but since it's flexible and stretchable I guess the part manual's 11" should be correct.

    Thanks
Also this might be valuable for those trying to do the same thing.
There are evidently 2 types of these plastic pieces depending on if the car has AC.
Left of the battery tray to the radiator support for the AC cars. Pic
To the right behind the battery for NON-AC cars.
