Hey guys, Sorry not to post/reply sooner! As Andy stated, I had open heart surgery last Wed Dec 22. Been a hard c0uple of years for our family to say the least, as some may know we lost our son on Dec 13, 2019, we lost my father Dec. 24, 2020 but we have also lost 6 other family members between my son's passing and this years December news for us. At first we took it as more bad news during the month of December for us, but after looking back at it was truly a Merry Christmas for us. I have been working getting jobs done and pushing my self, no matter what clues my body was sending me, well I told my wife to get me in to see my doctor so I could get my symptoms figured out. This was on Fri Dec 17, doc did an EKO but wanted to get confirmation, to have a more detailed look wouldn't happen until Jan 16. Saturday Dec 18 we had our 2nd celebration of life get together for our son, had a good time but was feeling chest tightness and discomfort in left jaw, I just relaxed for a few minutes and kept going....Sun Dec 19 I got up in the morning and tried to get some things done but symptoms persisted, so I rested most of the day off and on, that night I tried to lay down but felt the chest pressure and jaw discomfort again and told my wife we need to get to ER to find out what's wrong. Got admitted and after various tests, was given heart cath, they found 3 block arteries that fed my heart one 90%, one @ 85% and last one @ 75%. So open heart surgery was prescribed and told them to get it done. I saw what waiting and not listening to doctor's recommendations did to my father and my son and would never have wanted my wife to now lose her husband at the end of our 3 year succession of December bad news. I knew she could not go through another deal like that and would have broke my heart to watch from above. Well after spending a total of 7.5 days in two different hospitals(transferred to Leesburg UF Health for actual surgery) 4.5 days in after surgery, I am home recuperating since yesterday at 2:30 pm. SO much better to be home during the healing process. Already walking quite a bit and taking this new lease at life as the ultimate Christmas gift from above. Thank you guys

Good news quartlow, but this getting old sucks! I went in myself to see the cardiologist Wednesday morning for a simple test (my thinking) and came home late that afternoon with a pacemaker. Sheez!

Thank you Clark! I realize as we all get older the hits will keep coming, but if we can still have quality of life, then anything that can prolong a good productive life is a great thing in my book. It is when looking at only quantity of life, is when things would go down hill for me. Take care of yourself and I'll try to do the same, hope to have many a birthday left above ground.
