OK, since Tim called me out on this in another thread, what year truck do you think Mater is?
    Here are some helpful pictures:

1957 Chevrolet pickup - pretty much the same in late 1955 and 1956 except the hood and grill

Well, the color and the mirrors are the same but that's about all. No eyebrows over the headlights like Mater and the 57 Chevy.

Yeah, but Mater is modeled after a real truck, just like SpongeBob is modeled after a real sponge.

'55-'57 without a doubt, just look at the body lines.

Mater sure does resemble that 57 truck, no where near the 53 though. Though his mouth looks modern, as it appears he likely had braces at one point.

no I wasn't... both Klaus and I wish we still had those rides. I guess I should take my album to work and scan our rides. We've had some fun cars. I have always loved trucks. When I bought that one, I was looking at a 74 F250 4x4 short bed.... my brother Jerry bought it before I got the funds to do so, so I ended up with that Chevy. I had alot of fun in that ride.

Nah, modeled on Dodge or International Harvester. Windshield is wrong to be a Chevy, also headlight treatment.
