No doubt some cars were styled using "fish" as a model and name sake: Baracuda, Stingray, etc. So why not, in the same vein, use a Grouper or Carp for the 72 Torino/Chero? Just a thought. Dunno if that same thought came to the Camaro builders too, or the Cobra builders; but in latter case, that "mouth" is just too big for a "snake", unless it is to be a Python, swallowing a pig. Unrelatedly, you all remember (Buick) Opals? Cool little "baby vettes"!
That fish mouth disign has surely put them right there towards the top, of the most stylish, wanted cars.
hehehe, I love reading this stuff. I had to do my own study. I had the grand kids line up their hotwheels, and wow!! the camaro beat the fiero, but then again..I think the kid with the camaro jumped the light.
dang Tim.... must have been a HOT WHEEL..... heheheh they have been around for a long time.... they have an edge over the new Johnny Lightening series... however, I love those cars... they have more of the classics than Hot wheels does.... I just recently picked up a 75 Torino in that crappy pea soup color the 70's had... such a cool car.... they have alot of the old classics

Hot Wheels talk don't get me started. Johnny lightnings are cool too but they are for display purposed mainly, not durable enough for play. I have a 75 torino stocker that hotwheels released in 77, there are a fair few cool classics offered but you just have to be there at the right time to get them. I even have been picking up a few matchbox cars too lately, both hotwheels and matchbox cars are generally less than a buck each. Sarah, have you seen the Fresh Cherries series diecast cars, there are some 1:64 and 1:24 scale mav's available.
I got that same Torino Tim, but mine is still in the card along with about 800 or so of my collectionI do open a few but usually only ones I get more than one of. GOt a 65 falcon and 65 falcon wagon too, thought about making the wagon into a Ranchero, but not so sure I am talented enough to pull it off

Yup seen the cherries... they have the pacer, gremlin, pinto hehehe I have a RED Maverick its a Johnny Lightening car.... but I've seen the cherries... they came out with the less desireable 70 smog era cars.... heheheh I may still just for giggles pick up a Pinto... all my little diecast's are Ford or Mercury so that one would fit in. Connor loves grandmas cars...
I'll keep it looking good so when I pull that comet home on my trailer, the camaro and comet will look great together. That little comet will look good sitting next to my 62 Ranchero in my garage. I really like the 72 comets, nice body style. I think a good race will be my 62 Ranchero and your comet after I get the Fuel injected 5.0 in there. I am considering putting a pro charger on the 5.0, that ought to make that little 2500 pound chero go. A procharger would also be the thing for your comet, as they don't affect milage to bad for all of the horsepower gain you get. If you can afford the supercharger it's the way to go. ONly negative is you kinda need to build the motor for the supercharger, Low Compression.
Yeah, I am not sure yet what I am going to do about that. I think I might paint the original one silver like you suggested, and then sometime in the future buy a extra one to paint black. Also thanks man for the complement, I am proud on what I have done to it. Also I like the famous Photo shop the big black lady on everything avatar. I have had lots of fun with that in the past. Sexiness at it's finest.
Charge! Don C, I agree with a supercharger on anything motorized. Lawn mowers should be supercharged. I prefer a pro-charger over a turbo for road driving, turbos have a higher failure rate and run hotter. Sure would like to pull a road rally next year, maybe I will visit my childhood home in Prattville Alabama. Ive always wanted to take my kids to see where daddy grew up, Louisiana is on the way. Are we goin 1/4 or eighth mile? I need to know which gears to bring! The Wedge.

I didn't see this. First a Fiero, then a Scooby Doo, beats a Camaro? Not sure who to believe less. Hey my Saturn beat a Z06 Vette last weekend. Of course, as you guys know, it's easier to beat a car when the driver doesn't know he's racing.
