I feel honored that you used mine as an example.
Yet I must ask what is that in back of the '65?
Looks like a lawn mower?
Thought I might mention that "Old Blue" had spent it's entire life in Whittier, just off Washington Blvd.
(Since I just noticed where you are from)
I still remember being driven around in it when I was a kid.
Went to visit an ElCamino buddy when I was in Dallas a couple of weeks ago.
He gave me that same little red Ranchero
He knows that I am pretty attached to my little blue Ranchero, despite the fact that it is not a Chevrolet.
Hey '71 whitesale I started a new thread just for the toys..
Would love to get me one of those..
& Bryan, no wonder it still looks so good I feel for the people back east trying to keep these older cars rust free.
Every time I go to Walmart I look at HotWheels, I have found a 72 Gran Torino Sport, a 68-69 Torino Sportsroof & the Ranchero. I am hunting a 99-04 F150 Lightning in red (like the one I have) but no luck so far
Found this '64 pic in my files -- very sweet. This was in a street fair [church parking lot] in Castro Valley last year.
The YouTube video said Ranchero?
Its a lawn mower handle. I read about this in a hod rod magazine a couple years ago.
The guy races this thing on a road course and the lawn mower was just supposed to be a slap at the guys with the same old/same old racers. Imagine racing your Mustang and having this thing pass you looking like its hauling junk. Gotta Love it
I will try to post a couple pics tonight of my ongoing work in progress if I can remember.

finally some pics of the best looking Rancheros!! haha.. I need to find some of mine and get them up..
Whats that chrome strip you have going along the rocker?
& Nice wheels.
Idk I have never noticed that other ones didnt have it, its just a rocker protector, haha I bought it for 400buck those rims and tires only had 35 miles on them and a brand new cluster with 15 miles on it. couldnt pass that deal up. put a new carb on it and battery changed fluids and it started right up.
Ive owned it 2 years now and its broken down once, cause of sketchy wiring other than that best car ive ever owned
I have a question for all the 64/65 ranchero owners. Do you have a problem with birds sitting and pooping form the gully that runs along the truck?
Separate names with a comma.
