Near the the top of the door on the inside there are two large rubber pieces with material that are on a little flange that hold the window in place as it goes up and down. Checking with steele rubber ? but are these available anywhere ? And is there a name for these ?? jim

21760 - is named "Bracket - Door Window Stop"

22380 - is named "Stabilizer - Door Window Glass Inner"

I don't know of any place that has these NOS or remanufactured. I've recovered mine with a similar looking material and contact cement when needed.

Which door? My spare right door has an electric window setup which I plan to remove and replace with my old door's mechanical setup, which will yield a spare.

thanks handy andy, I'm going to get some off eBay or a junkyard. But if you do get rid of yours its the driver door, either will work though, best jim

Haha, figures. But yeah, I won't need any of the extra parts, so whenever I get around to doing this work, I'll let you know, you can decide if you want it.

    They are called cats wiskers.
I ordered new ones for my 71 several years ago.
just do a search useing the parts number or search for the year of your car and cats wiskers.
