Well, I got my Festiva, Bike, or Other question answered. I got a little gas sipper today, a 92 Festiva. If you can't stand to see a Dodge towing a Ford, don't look at the pictures.
Yep, that's normal mopar crap in the back. Air tank, rope, boxes (oil?, blankets?) maybe a few engine parts too?
......four large boxes holding about 30 keys of blow each (one partially injested on top),..................
Although it carries a ford emblem.... its not really a serious ford... so it doesn't bother me... heheheh
I looked at the title... says Ford, guess it is. Anyway it's a great little fella and I can't wait to start saving some green at the old pump.
Nice to see it has the prerequisite skateboard shop stickers on the back window. Any bets on how long until the Euro brake lights and spinner hubcaps make their appearance??
Nice find. Are those boxes full of extra parts for the Festiva or does is already run? Looks like you have some nice privacy trees there, I need to get me a fence like that one, it might buffer the boom, rattling windows. license plates and anything else that sounds like crap I hear on a regular basis when I am home.
Just remember: vynal adds horsepower! I saw one of those little things a while back that had a 2x4 spoiler, and plenty of home made vynal stickers, it was made of pure WIN!
DonC- Most of the lot is trees, we wanted it that way. 1 acre cleared, 2 acres trees. Yes Pud is running. The boxes are actually new wheels for the Durango, some cool-o 16x8's that have been in there for a while now. When it needs new shoes I'll put on the new socks too. Re: euro crap, yes if it's cheap it'll be on, why not? It's a nondescript vanilla plain old beater. Why not dress it up? I'm already planning to put a thick black stripe down the sides that ends in "PUD". Any other ideas are welcome.
At first yeah, but instead I've decided to just relegate it to back up duty. It's still in real good shape, has low miles, is paid for, hauls good, and gets through the snow real well. And the wife agreed that keeping it is better than selling it.
Translation: "I found out that the Durango was practically worthless, so rather than give it away we decided to keep it".
While I recognize the dripping sarcasm in that post, it's still worth noting that vehicles with poor MPG ratings are definitely taking a beating in the market these days. So yeah, if I wanted to sell it I'd wait till the first snowfall. But seriously, it has a lot of useful value to me that Pud can't do so why not keep it?
So - what are the vital statistics on your "Pud"? Mileage? What does it need? What are you going to do to it to get it "commute ready"?
