Afternoon all,the steering box in my 67 is really sloppy,I was hoping to just replace the box but talking to my mechanic friend he mentioned rack and pinion,not sure if that’s the way to go?googled it and besides being really pricy all the ones I’ve seen are for small blocks,mine has a factory 390 with power steering assist,car is running really well but the slop in the wheel needs to be addressed over the winter,as always thanks for any help or thoughts you can send my way!
Does the '67 Ranchero have a rag joint? That is often the culprit with sloppy Ranchero steering such as my '75.
