Hi everyone. I'm Patrick and I live in France, by the sea, in North Finistere. I use "deepl translate" to translate everything I write. I don't know your language very well. I bought a March 1979 ranchero 500 from a Dutch importer last April. It wasn't very expensive, and when I dismantled it I could see why. The cabin floor is rusty, there are holes and water is getting in. The roof had a vinyl coating and I think it's been tampered with. Let me introduce you to the vehicle and the renovation process. I'll post some photos as soon as I figure out how to do it.
Everything is dismantled, the chassis is at the sandblaster's, along with other parts. Everything will go through it...
fortunately, things are progressing quietly... engine was very very dirty tomorrow I'm going to pick up the frame, sandblasted, metalized and painted and I take the crate to sandblast it
I forgot... I found the serial number on the body, at the base of the windscreen. it's not just on the dashboard badge....it's on two plates like the one in the photo
thank you. today I picked up the chassis and other parts from the sandblaster. I dropped the box off at his place and will have to pick it up next week. Sandblasted, metallic and painted, like new
Nice! I like the Olds Vista Cruiser in the background also. A friend of mine once grafted that roof onto a '67 Ford Econoline van.
