I just had a guy in town with a Ranchero in a field who said he would give it to me if I picked it up.
It is a complete car with drive train.
He does not know what year it is.
He said the front clip was off and sitting in front of the car.
I know the 57 to 59 Ranchero had a removable front clip.
My question is Does the 72 and up Rancheros have a removable front clip?

Yes - pop the bumper, take the two nuts off the radiator support, pull the 7 bolts on each fender to cowl (two top, one middle from front of door, two at fender liners behind the tires, two underneath the fender, disconnect the wiring plugs at the firewall and two people can lift the clip off the car). YMMV, other interferences may have been added by an enterprising PO.

If the body looks like a Coke bottle met a 2-liter bottle, chances are it's a '72-'79. Pics would be great.

I won't have any pictures until I get back from Waco tomorrow.
I bought a Doug Nash OD unit for my C6 and have to pick it up tomorrow. Won't get back until after dark so will try to get some pictures on Thursday.
I have not seen the car yet as He just called me up this morning. I would know what it was if I had seen it, just needed to know what years had a front clip you could remove.
I thought the 72 to 79 did but wasn't sure as I have never owned one that new.
I don't think I will be restoring it as I have to many in line now but if good enough I could find some good parts on it to sell.
