meeting The weather forecast looks good for this weekend. Ten day forecast calls for partly cloudy Sat with highs of about 72 degrees. Then possibly rain the following week, <Thurs> Guess the Ranchero Gods are in our favor for our round-up.
Wish I could drive out from Nebraska for this! You all better take and post pictures of the get together!
If you leave Nebraska today you'll have plenty of time to be here by Saturday. And I guaranty you that the weather here will be alot nicer that where you will be if you don't come.
Gassed up, aired up, and even cleaned the windshield. I hope she makes it. If not you guys will have a parts car on the side of the road to feast on!
meeting Looks like great weather for tomorrow. Get em cleaned and purty guys. see ya manyana around 10:00 am
meeting We had our 1st in what we hope will be many Ranchero meetings today at Irvine park. <1> Ricks 72 Ranchero with Ford big block. Rick has some vintage wheels on this bad boy.Sounds like Rick already has a lot of new parts just waiting to be installed <2> Carls 67 Ranchero. Has a 390 engine, with 4 speed. Amazing that he has owned this for 42 years. He has a 10 quart oil pan on his rig, with some custom off-set steel wheels. <3> Juans 78 Ranchero. He said he just purchased his in Sept. of last year. He already has a great start with the Mustang wheels he got for an amazing price<if he told you the price he paid you would not believe him>. <4> Davis 67 Ranchero disguised as a Mustang. His Ranchero is in sick bay at the moment. He said he having some rear diff. issues with his 67, but hopes to get it road ready soon. Everyone seemed to have a nice time, and hopeful that we can get something started with meetings every month or every other month. I met a bunch of great people today, and really enjoyed talking to them, and looking at their Rancheros. Just a laid back get together, with every one having the same interests. We are hopefull as time goes on, we will get more people coming out to our meeting, and possibly go on some drives to different locations Thanks everyone for coming out today, and lets make plans to do this again.
For some reason I kept thinking the meetup was tomorrow. Sorry I missed it guys. Even if it was tomorrow I wouldn't have made it. Have some friends out from IL we haven't seen in 3-5 years who just decided to drop by yesterday. Made one of them help with some work on my 67 as payment though. Going to make the effort to make the next one. Any ideas on when we can do that? "Might" have my 67 run by then if I can continue to buy the parts I need over the next couple of weeks.
I wouldn't be too surprised at the price he paid for those wheels. Almost bought a set of 2011 Roush Mustang wheels for $200 (with new tires) over the summer. I had just bought my new engine though so my funds were dry.

You guys have set the standard for future Roundup's (i.e. you had a few Ranchero's present). I bet they get larger from here on out. Congrats!!
you broke the ice. maybe the next meet youll have more people show up. wish i couldve been there but 1800 miles is a little much. as sean said youve set a record.congrats
meeting Thanks Dale for posting some great pictures. You take much better pics than I do. I have to resize my pictures and use a picture hosting site, and then down load each one<pain in the arse> Hope you can get your 67 up and running soon. It was great to put a face to every one, and hope we can get together again soon with larger turn outs each time.
well feel like an ass for not going, stayed and worked on the kids car, all goes well my chero might be up for a road trip by the end of the year, splittin mod money between 3 cars sucks, luckily the anny is almost done and I am not to far from ending the bleeding on the kids car then back to the chero! right now its best to stay close and just the two mile round trip to a-zone. any of you guys going to Knotts this year? I will have my anny Mustang there in the show.
