That should work for me too. Hoping the 67 is running by then, but its possible it wont be. Will bring the stang if not. Putting the engine back together this week.

absolutley, long as you get there.
We are just getting started, so a few of the guys dont have their rides up to par just yet.
Last meeting<actually the first meeting> one of guys had to bring their Mustang, but he made it.
So long as you can make it thats all that counts.
Guess what we could do is if some one cant bring their Ranchero, they should have to bring the beer/chips. <just a little raz,not serious >

At 12mpg. I am not sure there will be beer money left LoL No problem though. I knew what I was getting in to when I chose the motor. Ranchero should get about 20 I hope, Daily driver gets 30 and bike gets 40. So driving the mopar here and there is affordable.

Good deal, happy you guys can make it out.
Dale, you be able to get yours on the road by then? Keep my fingers crossed you get the problem taken care of and you can bring out your ride in March.
Again, thanks for the great pictures you took at Irvine park.

Hey BRC. Hill Crest Park sounds good to me, but I'm in the questionable category for a few reasons. I have a work related project that will be in a 24/7 shutdown through the month of March. My boss is already covering for me the weekend before since I will be doing the NASCAR thing in Vegas. The other reason is my rear end is in pieces on the garage floor. If I hit it big in Vegas it won't matter what the boss thinks :D and I will be there with or without my cherished eyesore.

Hi Rick, Hope you can make it. Even if the hot rod is not feeling well, maybe you can still get there. On your way out of Vegas, do me a favor, stop by and tell my ex-wifes to <well, you know what I mean>

Who's bringin the Green Beer? It is St Patty's Day so we have reason to party besides being Ranchero owners.:D

Hi Juan, glad you can make it. Should be great at the park.
    Now about the brewskis.
I did not even think of it being St. Pattys day. <DOH!>
I better check about bringing in beer. Its been a while sense I took in any beer to the park, so they may not allow it now but I will check.
As far as anyone supplying beer for anyone else, the person supplying the beer would be responsible if they other party were to drive while intoxicated and have an accident. Laws have changed sooo much that if they will allow beer to be brought in, then I would say who ever wanted some beer, they should bring their own, but thats up to the parties involved.
Either way, happy you can make it.

Drinking beer in public is most likely against the law and the park is public. Drinking within 50 feet of your car and having the keys is considered intent to drive. Dont want to take that chance.

Might be wiser to meet at the park and then find a nice diner/pub around there to pop a cold one after chatting at the park for awhile. I know there is a Luciel's BBQ around there somewhere. No sense in taking the risk if there are alternatives.

I called Parks and Recreation this morning and alcohol is Not allowed in the park any longer, whether is beer, or hard liquor<nothing said about
    wacky-tabacky, though yuck yuck>.
    So that answers that question.
I then asked if a permit is required for just a meeting and she said she will call me back about it, but it is doubtful we will need a permit.
The park does not have gates so basically it is open 24/7.
I will be going over there soon and at which time I can then post the area we will meet in.
Again there are bar-b-ques, tables, and plenty of shade for all the ol farts.<guess I better watch what I say, because I fall into that catagory>.
Anyhoo, soon as I get an answer on the permit question I will post it.
This is of course if everyone is OK with Hillcrest park. So far there have not been any negatives on the location.
<Rick, you better hit it big in Vegas, as we expect to see you there also>

if we get a larger group, maybe, maybe we should come up with a name for our "SoCal" group?

I'll be there with my 67 if it is running on time or with my stang. Only way I'll miss it is if they throw something at us for work for that weekend.

Hi Dale, I have been thinking about that for about 6 or 7 weeks now.
I have come up with a couple of what I think are OK, so what I thought I was going to do is at the next meeting is to have a stack of 3x5 cards next to the sign in sheets and ask everyone to suggest 2 3 or even 4 different names and turn in the cards when they sign in.
Then we all take a vote on a couple of the best ones.
This way everyone who is there can br involved. But to answer you question, we have right at 10 to 11 confirmed for the 17th

    Well we cant have that.
Better tell the ol boss man that work is interfering with your quality time with your Ranchero. Jobs come and go, but Rancheros can last a life time,
    <think he will buy that?
