yes I am talking about completely done and ready to slide back in!
sorry to hear about the rear end woes Dan...we've all been there...deep breaths man...it'll get better..!!!
Folks great news! I located a guy in town that welds cast metal. He fixed up my pumpkin for $10!!!!! I am going to get the new bearings/seals on the axles tomarrow and the same guy will be able to set me up with a trac-loc set up and check out the rest of the unit (installed) for $200. So the entire thing will be like new.
Love a story with a happy ending. Good luck, you've all convinced me never to try this alone, ever!! W/o first consulting you guys I mean.
Having good freinds to help is a great thing! Brought the pumpkin over to the shop to have it converted to a trac-loc (using my 2.75 gear) and have the axle shaft bearings and seals done. I have to have it all back together and looking pretty again by the weekend! Hope it never has to come apart again!
Well Guys and Gals here are the latest photos of the Monchero Chassis! Enjoy!
I was able to finish it up a bit with some help from my Buddy Tony. I have been working 15 hr days so getting in the barn has been tough!
Sweet! Now you'll know how it feels to have a brand new Ranchero.
I already know from doing the 74! Felt so good I had to do it again!!!!
woooooooo hoooooooooooooooo a vision of happiness
Dan why the wheel spacer/adapters???? NICE detailing!
Because of the large springs (taller) the suspension rides very high. As a result the front tires tuck in about 2 inches making the tracking in the front more narrow than the rear. I wanted to bring it back out and that made the car feel better around corners.
Very nice work !!!!
i wish a hatt some parts in Germany
awesome Dan..!!! keep the pics and info coming!!!
Lookin' good, Dan. I sure wish my Squire was that clean underneath!
Today I finished up the rear brakes and put the rear tires on the chassis. The frame now has all four tires on it and is complete! (WHOO HOO) The next step will be to start on the body modifications (A/C delete, floor shift) and clean up of the underside. I will keep you guys posted.
Sounds like miller time to me! congratulations.
