Yup, Ann had the same explanation... Still though, I`m in here while it`s on, I`ve missed too much to follow it... Thanks Sarah, 66
Our DVR crashed Monday night (hardrive failure) and left us without TV until Thursday. I have a handful of shows I tape on the DVR and watch an hour or so just about every night. At first I was pissed that we'd lost the shows we'd taped but as the week wore-on I realized how much I wasn't missing the hour or so a night I'd spend at night staring at the TV; my wife read more I worked in the garage later (finally got around to fixing a few things on my wife's dual-sport MC which made her happy). The DVR got replaced Thursday evening. I played with it for a few minutes but now that I realize how much of my evenings was getting eaten-up by it I don't plan on using it too much. BTW In the early episodes of a TV show from the early 90's called 'Northern Exposure' there is an early 60's Ranchero parked in the background of several episodes. Sometimes there is a snowmobile in the back. Kevin
I`m picking up what you`re putting down, Kevin! I can relate to that ~ recording, then watching later on... When we bought our home here, there was a period of time we recorded movies from HBO & ShowTime from cable TV, so we could watch them later on after we moved... Those recorded movies are still unwatched except for the ones that have later come to TV viewing... Just ain`t that important, just like here lately, too much garbage to enjoy it...
I'm picking up what you're saying also, Dennis. We also have movies/shows that are unwatched, except for the ones we watched, which have now been watched, so they are no longer unwatched; like, for example, the best show ever to be shown on the small screen. Breaking Bad. There's a sweet Ranchero Squire in the movie 'Almost Famous', 70-71 vintage. Good movie too. I recommend it.
Anyone see the "Counting Cars" episode when they took a 61 Ranchero and converted it into a pool table?
It's only a repost if the poster posted it in a previous post then posted it again. Denny is a classic example of a reposter.
That was a good show, thanks for posting it here. You're awesome. I think it was rigged though, the way he got, what, $5000 for that POS.
I was disappointed in the pool table idea. I thought he would do a crazy restoration and make something neat. Insted he made a pool table fit for a strip club.
Counting Cars strikes again with a Ranchero. I was watching a rerun of Counting Cars this weekend and kept getting glimpses of a nice metallic blue Ranchero in the background of the shop. I never could tell what year it was, but I'm thinking it is probably a 77-79. I think it was in an episode where they restored a 34 Ford for an older couple.
