As for Cheech and Chong, I have their vinyl record, up in smoke or something, the one with the "big paper" included in the album jacket. Mine still has the big paper intact, probably the only one in the USA in such a "mint" condition

Hey Giska, sorry to hear about the truck,but the 429 sounds pretty damn cool.If I had enough $$ I would have a second Yank with a bigblock,but for my main ride I like the smallblock,and I'm learning stuff mechanically,it seems easier to try and do stuff yourself when theres some room in the engine bay.Plus cos I drive it a lot,the 302 doesnt use much more fuel than my wifes '92 325i beemer,especially on a long trip.Hers a pic of the Ranchero,Ive given it the 70s trip with some effects from paint.net.
Has 2 72 "N" code at hand at the moment but after the hollydayes I can only buy the one of them I think and then there is the shipping costs they are bigger than the actual payment for the cars so you know i't has to be one of them, or maybe I win the lottery he he . I use my work van at the dayly driving and its like 2l diesel for 10km. Hey thanks Giska.Yeah,I drove a diesel Mitsubishi van for my last job,it had a turbo and I could pass people driving uphill.It was fun,but nowhere near as much fun as a V8.My earliest musclecar memory was riding in a 351 Falcon.It had four on the floor and went uphill at 80mph in second gear!It was quite a moment.
Mine is a Econoline 350 with the 7.3 turbo long version, but it is like 4500 kg with all the stuff we has to carry, but runs pretty good never any que in the mirror. One thing I remember when I was a kid I was in a 77 Chero it was my neigbours and I just had to have one. it was back in 77 never forgotten that. But the best I think was when I sat in a Jensen Interceptor with one of Englands racedrivers from the 70's(dont remember his name) that car was fast. But I was very young, Good things to remember though.
Cool.The Interceptor has the 383 Mopar,right?When I lived in th U.K. for a while I had a 73 Charger with that motor.That was my first decent American car,and I still love Mopar Muscle.If I could park my Ranchero next to a Callenger in my drive I think I'd die happy.I dont know how much those 'kid' memories influence us,but since my dad had a 70 Falcon 500 for our family car I always considered myself a Ford guy.Cheers.
Yes I think so it was crazy, and I almost bought a 73 charger the other day it was a 318 in it but I thought it would be so expensive that I did not pay attention and it was sold on ebay for 6000$ and it was a very nice and clean car. I felt like a dunb ass when I saw what its sold for. But I agree with you a Challenger is the nice on, Cuda is not bad eigther. He He Has 3 friends who has Chargers A girlfriend has a 383 and a friend with a 440 all 3 are 68 the last one is a procject. A lot of Amcars in my friends houses a lot of chebby's though. My best friend has a Plumouth Fury Sport 59 thats a nice car.
Thats some nice iron in your friends' sheds.Is the 59 Fury a 'Christine 'car?I love that film,and its got the charger as well,and the camaro that gets wrecked.I dont go for chevs,and theres no logical reason for it,some GM cars are great,like GTOs.My friend had a Ventura coupe w/455 in it,we used to get round in it a lot,wearing our sunglasses after dark thinking we were pretty cool!
I think "Cristine" was a 58 and not a fury but something similar, i'm not anything but a Ford guy so I cant tell for sure. GM has a lot of nice looking cars, but none that I consider. A lot of my friends has american cars. We will have a meeting in the summer some time and there will be a lot of pics. Its now in the middle of winter here you know. I have seen the film and its nice but a bit "out" but a lot of nice cars in it, yes.
You guys know that the Mopars are going for crazy money here in the US at the big auctions, like the Barrett Jackson. Saw last year on TV a superbird (the one with the big tall spoiler on the back) go for $200,000 and some Hemi Cudas have topped a million bucks. Now that's nuts!!! I'd get a 58 Fury just because of that movie. I loved when she (Christine) tracked down and killed, one by one, all those little punks that had trashed her!!
Ok so it was a Fury, I was not shure, my friends 59 is very nice but he has some other projects and when one of them is on the road he will totally restore it. And I know about the crazy prices on some mopar cars, but its a damnd nice design on them. And not to many of some of them. The superbird looks like a toy and originally there where not many made I think I dont like it, the wing is ok but the front I dont like. But its for the rich people so its not for me, he he.
its 3 58 and 1 59 on ebay the 59 is silver my friends are gold and a sports fury, his looks nicer with the gold color and some other mouldings along the body. But not to scary prices on a couple of the 58's
When the Superbirds came out for Nascar homologation they sat on dealers floors forever!No-one would buy them!I plan to open a shop this year selling rocknroll and car memorabilia,any pop culture type stuff,and Im going to call it Vanishing Point.Id love to have a Challenger parked out front,but my Rancho is going to be a supercool shop truck!
Yea Dwayne a white Challenger would be nice in front, but the Chero will be just fine to. Good luck to you.
