14 Spring 2016.jpg I rolled my Westcoaster with rustoleum boat paint-sanding after each coat. It actually came out not bad & has held up well in the 9 years since I painted it. But not the Ranchero.

    One of those days..
I bought a larger compressor for my place in Utah (I already have a decent one in my home in Mesquite 8 gallons). 12 gallon, 125 psi. Great buy. Then I tried it-starts great at empty, but can't start under pressure. Checked my garage power. Voltage drops to <100 volts when starting. Garage is 100' from the building & 6 garages are on the same circuit(it's a condo), 12 gauge wire-way too long a run. Guess I'll swap it with the smaller one next trip.

Back 1/2 painted. Couple runs that I will sand & buff later.

Finally got to a point where I could start buffing out the paint. Maybe this 5+ year project will move forward. It doesn't help traveling between 2 states. 20230411_153617.jpg

73 'Red Rocket'.jpg You know what happens when you have 'free time?' Built a 'rocket' as a display piece for the signboard (If I ever get the Ranchero completed), as it's called the 'Red Rocket'. It even lights up(flashing colors on the bottom). 74 lights.jpg

Today! Door glass back in. All new rubber & felt strips. Also, windows are now electric(smooth too).

I got them from Nu-relics.com. They had a kit specific for my 64 Ranchero. It was easy to install and everything fits inside the door. I added a console and put the switches there.

Needs to say 'ACME' on its flanks.

    BTW, nice progress!

Got her out of the garage! Needed to be able to open the doors all the way to get the scuffguards & drip mouldings in(darn single car garages). Still need to put the door weatherstrip on, & fix the paint on the hood-plus a bunch of
other little things. But it was nice to drive it around the block. It does look good from 10'! & I realized the door cards I made were 1/2" too tall.

That red sure pops, and I love the TTD's on it.
