I got scammed. Someone responded to my request for parts suggesting I email "This really great guy", so I did. They told me they had the part I was looking for and sent me some photos. I asked their preferred method of payment and they said "PayPal - friends and family". I don't use PayPal much but I agreed and sent $180 USD. A tracking number was never provided despite asking for one. I became suspicious and Google searched the image they sent me. It appeared on a different Facebook post by a different user. Now I see our conversation had been deleted off this forum. Be careful out there.
Thanks for the heads-up Stab. I got scammed earlier this year on a price that sounded too good to be true, but the cheapskate in me went for it anyway. Big mistake.
