BB, Quitcherbitchin"!!! I could not get into my truck this am, doors frozen shut! There's a little ice skating rink, perfect for elves, in the bed of my 64 chero, in the yard, but covered in a blue tarp.
well ,your all lucky because it is "-18* below ZERO "when i got up today on my day off. the shop was heated but it only up 33*!
I thought it always rained there. >rwitt ++++++++++ No, to the contrary it hardly ever rains here, and then when it does it's like Camelot usually. But right now we've had about a month of light to medium rain, and it's 15 degrees colder than usual, feels more like Seattle. Nasty weather, and of course my garage hasn't been able to hold a car for the last forty years. Think this year is just a blip in a longer cycle of less and less rain in my little micro-climate.
It was -10 degrees here with wind chill this morning but it is up to 35 degrees right now and hopefully I can dig a car out before it starts snowing again.
San Fran BB, I was under the impression that SF was kinda cool and somewhat damp like Seattle. Learned something new.
BB, I was under the impression that SF was kinda cool and somewhat damp like Seattle. >rwitt ++++++++++ Well, to be clear I'm across the bay from SF, in unincorporated county near Hayward. A little drier than SF, but even SF doesn't get that much rain. There are low mountains all around the bay that catch most of the water from any storm. We often go from May through September with no rain at all -- at a quick guess we get around 20 - 25" per year. Most of the water we use comes from snow melt from the Sierras. You are certainly right about the cool temps in SF. All our weather is dominated here along the left edge by the cold Pacific -- water is about 45 degrees this time of year, never gets very warm. The current along this coast comes down from the Arctic regions. Otherwise, this would be a desert like most of southern California. Seattle ... LOL, you can go for months there when it rains every day and all night too.
