On my 70 Ranchero with a stock 302 the vacuum advance device is falling apart. This one has 2 vacuum ports, but I am wondering if I can replace that one with a single port device. The distributor works and has a Pertronix module in it, so if I don't have to replace it, that would save the Ranchero bucks for other things.
Your car is too old to require smog checks -- so get the single one-pipe connection advance unit. I suggest that you connect it directly to manifold vacuum, but the ported vac connection works too.
