I have both air cleaners, but can't decide which one to keep (I know, another damn 1st world problem!).
Lots of aluminum on the engine makes the chrome look out of place, but maybe more correct.

Both look good. The round one looks more natural, tho -

I like ‘em both, too, but prefer the oval housing. The ribs and finish on it are a close match to those on the cool valve covers.

That is a tough decision...both have pluses and minuses...maybe the round for driving purposes and the oval for show??? o_O

Some people have several pairs of shoes for different occasions, nothing wrong with multiple under hood goodies to switch out for each day of the week. Looks great.

I vote for oval - it matches the rest.

If he doesn't take you up on your offer, may I buy it from you? I always wanted one of those.

Thanks for the offer LS, but that probably won't work on that finned air cleaner.

*insert pic of paper towel roll here, since a .2 MP photo is denied*

Aaaaaah, go figure. I want to make a joke, and the BB program is acting stupidly.

Hi BB , I have one of those on my finned air cleaner , just turned up a small spacer with a tapered end , glued it on to the underside to space it up a bit and all good. I will see if I can get a photo .

When I was doing research for the muffler guitar, I found this; I think he was using it to hold the bottom wood plate on:

Aircleaner.jpg Aircleaner.jpg Knob 2.jpg Knob 1.jpg Knob 1.jpg Ok , a bit late and a couple of extras here but hope you can see what I have done . Made a tapered spacer from aluminium to suit the top of the aircleaner. This fits the tapered hole in the aircleaner and raises the knob enough to clear the fins.
