And you're starting to sound like a certain member here who would occasionally go nutso. You aren't even kidding when you post that nonsense. In your head, you are 100% certain I insulted that guy and that our banter is driving people away (banter more often than not in threads we start), and that, my friend, is scary stuff.
I had to jog my memory with that throwback name. Yes, he was a helpful but oversensitive dude. It is the internet, after all. So how's that 79 coming along?
I don't want to touch anything under the hood until I get a photo. The hood was closed for 8 years, its pretty creepy under there.
Remember when ribald first came along, and some here thought he was actually Trikar reincarnate. Trikar was oversensitive, for sure, but he sure liked posting ads. Good times, those.
Trikar was never as mean-spirited and spiteful as ristalk. The out-of-nowhere attacks; I just don't understand why he feels the need to levee them. We have a generally good, well-meaning group of people here and that kind of stuff is just unnecessary and brings the board down.
Yeah? You mean the TV celebrity? What's his forum name? That'd be kinda cool to have a TV somebody here.
Driven away by a couple of people here who complained incessantly about his ads covering up their ads -- you know who you are. I miss him, he was an OK guy who put some effort into locating Cheros for sale.
I am still amazed how thin-skinned some people are. Sad, really. More than a couple of people here did have a point though. You post something for sale, 24-hours later it's buried 40 posts deep, never having a chance to be seen. However, I do agree that he is missed.
I miss his dogged ways of hunting parts, no doubt. And that daily picture game. Rob's got the ad posting mantel so we're good there.
I thought he passed that game baton to you. Slacker. I remember starting a few games here, back when this place had fun people.....before 'ahem' ran them all off.
No, we hitched our wagon to his star but couldn't compare to it, and it kind of just faded away. He was a one of a kind daily picture game poster.
Trikar really was a good guy and I wish he was still around. He was a little over-sensitive though, because I don't think anyone here was really trying to drive him away. Others maybe, but not Trikar.
No one is glad he left. He was indeed one of the good guys, as has been said many times. And for the record, be it clear that to my knowledge no one ever tried to force anyone else off the forum. It is well known that several members privately went to the mods demanding the banishment of Sean and FF, and left when that didn't happen. But no one flat out said, 'we gotta get rid of so-and-so'. Actually, that did happen with Chamblizi and Marauder351, now that I think about it. I know I can speak for Sean when I say we enjoyed the back and forth very much, and wished a few people didn't go, but heck, that's life. BB's had the rust slapped off his chassis many times yet he continues to give it right back. It's all in the personality I suppose.
