If it's their greatest hits CD, it'll be over in 4 minutes.

At the San Leandro store they are at lunch or in the restroom most of the time.
I think they take a break every time they need a ladder also as they always disappear for at least ten minutes when getting one and claim they can't take the one in the very next isle.
I climb the shelving and get what I want most of the time, but on the rare occasion someone is around I have to wait as their feelings get hurt if they don't get to do it.
You still shoveling fertilizer, or moved to another dept?

I am usually so busy that I take my breaks late if at all. Heh, not many customers know that the yellow ladders are perfectly okay for them to use, but the orange ones are associates only. At the Auburn store, we might have one or two slack-offs but mostly they're a good bunch. Yeah Im in Garden here as well, usually outside on the forklift or helping people with their garden/plant questions. It's hotter than Hades lately, but I like playing outside.

Just make sure you stay hydrated. If you're so busy you take your breaks late, it's easy to forget you haven't taken a swig of water.

Great advice. Four of these signs also come with old age, so there's that. Basically, if you're peeing, you're not dehydrated.

Here are a few signs you might be dehydrated....
    • Increased thirst and a dry or sticky mouth. ...
    • Signs of fatigue, confusion or anger. ...
    • Dry eyes or blurred vision. ...
    • Headaches or disorientation. ...
    • Muscle cramps. ...
    • Lack of sweat. ...
    • Dark urine. ...
    • Fever.

I was in your part of the country last weekend...the high there was the same as it was in Phoenix that day! When I work out in the garage on weekends, I'll go through 3-4 52oz mugs of ice water a day. I got home last night around 10:30 PM.....have a thermometer in my garage...it was 107. It's time to insulate that room and get an AC in there!

Yeah, I'd say! And a stand fan or two to move the air would help keep it cool

..yeah, I get dehydrated a lot at work. Sunscreen, my hat, and water are my friends. Need to find me at work? Just follow the garden hose.....
