In your face, Safety Boy. That's an interesting Econoline story right there.
That Econoline paint negates all the cool stuff you've done to it. You'd need twin turbos to break even now.
Or a 460 with overdrive and 4.11 gears.
time for a "Go Fund Me"
good weather this past weekend
Cleaned channel under the new rear window rubber....filthy where the pins were...no real rust thank goodness...treated with bed liner, put in new clips and popped the brightwork back on
Got the re-painted bed cover and wing back on
finish trim on bed cover edges.
driver side mirror....new gaskets from are of a different butyl rubbery type material...which is fine but the shape of them is poorly cut.
belt line outer rubber for window...Years ago my dearborn classics set had screw holes for the end pieces...these do not..clips only but overall seem better made.
Where did you get the new beltline strips?
came from Dearborn/Eckler but the source company appears to be "Repops"...I'll double check when I get home.
confirmed "Repops" is the brand
What color do you plan for the interior? Some form of red I hope- that would look killer with your new paint.
I've said it before, so I'll say it again, that Pat is amazing to look at.
looking very nice; PROTECT-O -TOP and black TRIM
Will be keeping it black with red trim for the short term...but with the right GT panels ...and possibly new seats it may have less red than it did.
got it from Todd a few years ago...still love it!....starting to look like a Pirates cruiser...
Stunning HR!Check to see if bed cover edge is touching paint surface. It will rub through your new paint eventually.I removed edge trim and glued felt pads inside cover where it sets on trim to raise cover up a schose.
YES, excellent advice !! I did similar on my cap as not to ruin the paint
hmm Ill double check...I left the front trim piece off because of the lack of clearance, so I figured it would rub the fresh topper paint. I have foam on the inside cover areas that touch the trim so Its probably a smidge higher than normal.
replaced the rubber gasket with new foam style for side marker and tail light. My last current word on LED lights....great for interior and instruments....but despite trying several different flashers and LED lights...they arent even close to as bright as standard incandescent so i went back to all standard bulbs for the outside.
