The seller isn't nuts, but a buyer would be.

Lunacy. I had a hood with this exact style scoop installed on my 1968 after an accident destroyed the OEM hood way back in 1974. It had 351 call outs on each side (which I liked BTW since I was only packin’ a 302). I don’t see the same for a 428 if that’s what’s supposed to be so special and rare for the one advertised. And even if so…

I wish I knew the buyer. I'd offer to sell him my work-in-progress base model 69 for oh, say, $75K.

no that one a rare one jeff the one you had with 351 badges 0n it from a 69/70 mustang with rear turn indicators this one dose not have the cutouts or bosses for the turn indicators also the did not have the front grill in them. So the the guy doing a concourse restoration its a holy grail scoop. I have only see on in person a few years back at Turlock
swap meet and it sold for $1700

A new day, learned something new. A question though: you said the scoop style I had back when was from a Mustang. My wrecked hood was replaced with a used hood with the scoop. The scoop wasn’t added to the existing hood so the whole hood must have been lifted from a Torino or Ranchero, not Mustang. Yes?

if it had turn indicators it would have been from a 69 it could have been torino or mustang
