I think the front & rear are too busy looking, and that damn touch screen on the dash looks out of place. Oh, and no manual transmission, dammit!

Otherwise, very nice, and I'm looking forward to seeing them on the road and the track.

I'll wait until Sean crashes one to form an opinion. He probably already has a test lined up.

Not that I could even afford one, but I would take one for a drive. It might even be better than a Fiero too. I do wonder how it will stack up against others like it like the Ford GT or if it could even keep up with a McLaren. Corvette has been around longer than the Mustang and the Mustang has had its share of changes too.

I haven't found corvettes attractive since the C3 body, but I'm betting it will perform very well.

My lotto car collection would could include a '63 split window and a '70 with a 427 and 4 speed. And I'm not really a 'vette guy in the first place.

Frankly, GM has always screwed the pooch with the Vette. By the '70s, it should've been a highly-engineered mid-engine supercar, sparing no expense to make it dominant. That way, the fools who bought ZR-1s for an investment that tanked (because GM), would've looked elsewhere.

Got a 92 that was upgraded with a 96 LT4 with a 6 speed. Took a few years to get the GM bugs out but it ended up being a fairly decent driver. Still can't get in or out of it with any civilized manners. I will say it has some excellent fitting seats, love that they can be form fitted thanks to all those adjustments. But like any GM, the bean counters managed to ruin a great design by putting cheapo parts in places where aftermarket parts have to be fitted to get lasting results. Got way more invested in making it a good car than it will ever bring if I wanted to sell it. Pity, as soon as I got it reliable, the C5's came out and it's value went into the dumpster. I have no reason to believe the new one will be any different.

My dentist bought an '18 after owning an Aston-Martin. He says he likes it because it's bulletproof. I guess that means it starts in wet weather.

My best friend's son was on the waiting list, and just got the call from the dealer to come in and order it the way he wants it. He's trading this in, so out-of-pocket should't be too bad.

OK, no more Chevy stuff from me.

Gotta love them Lucas parts, they are a crap shoot in dry weather. I own a English made car, spare parts should not be optional but mandatory.

I'd own one with pride. And we have never tested a Corvette, or Porsche, etc. People don't look at safety ratings when looking to buy one of them. I wouldn't.
