I'm talking about the new LT4. The 650 hp supercharged version, not the 300 on a good day version.

Don't apologize. It's a sign of weakness. That's what FF told me. Sorry.

Nah, it's a sign that I wasn't bribed to say what was wanted. Anyway, that engine should be fun in any old car you could stuff it into.

Lost me. What do the Nash have in this conumdrum ? That new LT4 would be fun by the ton in anything, including the old Nash. Kinda' like Richard putting that Helliphant in the old IH Scout just because. Gas Monkey can build your insane dream if you fork over the cash. Just remember, once you own a ride, it be your choice on how it survives. rat rod, restomod, cruiser, drag car, back yard bunker, concours restoration. Hell - - It's your money and car. Do whatever you want. Ain't none of them sacred ground except to a few purists and if they don't own it, piss on what they think. Yeah, I'd leave the Nash looking stock but it sure wouldn't have a six under the hood.

So, do you basically test whatever is brought in for you to test?

Yes, and no. We try to hit a bunch of groups at once. Last year it was small pickups and midsize cars. The year before that it was muscle cars and something else. In between all of these (and there's four crashes per model) we do TSP requests. Nothing is brought in for us. We go and get them.

I'd love to be the fly on the wall when your team goes to fetch them. I'm sure there's no love lost in that.

But the requests come from somewhere else, don't they? I assume a "customer" comes in and says, "I want you to test small pickups. Here's a bazillion dollars to buy the vehicles and write your report." Or, are you independently funded, and decide internally, "You know, it's 2019. We need to test small pickups."

The manufacturers want the award. They request it. Other than that, we try to cycle through all the makes and models. We accept their test data of our crashes too, thankfully. We would have to test 2 a day to get all the vehicles on the road, and only three of us run all the crashes. It's easier for me to inspect Ford's data and videos on an Explorer test (2 hours) than it is to actually test an Explorer (2 days). How and why that's done........

I'm wondering how much it's gonna cost to repair a leak?

How are the Jay Leno headers gonna work?

And WTF will my clubs go?

    So may questions....

Only when asked. Otherwise, who the hell cares what I think? I didn't even pick my username, the mods did.
The General is waaaay ahead of you. In fact, you can store two sets of clubs OR the removable top, but not both.

Can we vote on a new Username for you?
I'm not sure we could come up with a better one, but it would be fun trying..

Oh, really? My recollection of the event was you were having some issues with your password on site and you emailed me - and while in the screen and recalling that you had stated many moons ago on site that you didn't get the screen name you thought you had entered. I told you I could change it to anything you want - and what you use now is what you told me. So... we fixed your password issue and user name just as you asked. I do have the email string in archive - should I dig it out of the cobwebs? Is that about correct or do you have a different version?

Sure - I'll make a one time exception since Sean now seems to be unhappy with his current one... start a thread to get suggestions, then we'll poll it down to small list and then put it up for a vote. Don't use insulting things directly such as douche-bag is not going to be allowed.
