I have been dreading going to the Range lately, after modifying a few long guns to be Featureless to be CA compliant I don't know how I am going to like shooting them..
I spend very little time admiring my firearms while shooting them. My 30/30 lever action is ugly, but I can get 1-1/2" at 100 yards with it with iron sights offhand. It fits like it was made for me. Love shooting that thing. My old Ithaca 12G pump that I used to keep behind the seat shoots trap just as well and my pretty shotguns. You'll find that it still kicks and send projectiles down range just like it always did. Have fun!
In California, You cant have a Flash Hider, Grenade Launcher, Pistol Grip or a magazine larger than 10 rounds. https://survivorsystems.com/pages/what-is-featureless
There are also rules on threaded barrels, thumbhole stocks, forward grips, folding stocks, some trigger and sear modifications, methods of attaching ammunition to a firearm (particularly a shotgun), certain modifications to magazines, plus the 10 million things the feds don't allow.
The video was very informative....thanks. I'm glad we don't have those restrictions in AZ. I guess I don't get why a pistol grip or thumbhole stock is bad....and it seems dumb to make you replace the flash hider with a muzzle brake....so now you get to piss off the guy next to you at the range....lol
And yet I can still walk into a gun store down here and say I'll take that Glock 9, he takes my license and social, makes a phone call and I walk out with it and ammo and it all takes about 20 minutes.
Front Site is just down the road from me.Little pricey, but is always booked. My ruger is never to far away, nevada is open carry state.
