Never thought about it in that context. I think you just coined another truism. Old Ford trucks on stage lately. Next week, who knows ?

Damn Hillbilly, with as many Lincoln's as you have in the front row you HAVE to have the serpentine set up from a 5.8LW w/ a Saginaw P/S pump, A/C and 3G ALT sitting in the weeds. Not having any luck finding a 94 - 96 E-250 van.

    Cheers,

    Doc

Used the last serpentine like that on a 53 F-100 but I will check at a friend's place. That looks like Lady Gaga's Lightning. I finally tired of not being able to tow a car trailer behind my black 93 and sold it to a friend from NewOrleans. Different from a regular F-150, not enough room to air-bag it easily. Ol' tractor is a 1962 IHC 560 diesel, has hydraulics that can move 1/8 of an inch if you are gentle with the controls. Got two 90 Lincolns with 5.0's but they are different from the Mustang serp. Lincolns had two serpentine belts, one ran the a/c and smog pump, the other did the alt. steering and water pump. Alt. and a/c were on the opposite sides too. Haven't counted Lincolns lately, had 30 at one time. Keeping the later 4.6 Lincolns, easier to give them Coyote engines.

I've thought about looking at 5.0L but none of them came with the Saginaw PS pump, hell I can't even find the part number for the PS / AC bracket that fits them. The holy grail would be finding one that has the Sag AND a hydroboost brake system already in place. It would be my "luck" that it would be a 94 - 96 5.8L because then I would have to buy the whole motor as those years have a roller cam. For some reason this year the copperhead and moccasin population has exploded and all the JY's are in or near swamps. I ran across 6 in the span of 30' and decided against going further.

    Cheers,

    Doc
